Roy Keane responds to Jack Warner

Don't mess with Keano! I thought this whole story was pretty funny so I figured that I would include a link for it so that hopefully everyone gets a chance to see some of the nonsense that goes on with the World Cup qualifiers. Basically, Jack Warner the FIFA Vice-President and CONCACAF President who is from the Trinidad and Tobago complained because Sunderland (managed by Roy Keane) didn't release Dwight Yorke for the match against the United States on Wednesday. Now if we were talking about the Dwight Yorke of 5-10 years ago I could see where he would have made a real difference in the game. However, at this point in his career I really don't know if he would have been able to help his team overcome a 3 - 0 deficit.

Regardless, I would think that the CONCACAF president is supposed to be representing ALL of the nations in CONCACAF, not just the nation that he comes from. Of course, if you click on the link that I have included with his name, you can see that he has a rather dubious history to say the least. Basically, in my opinion Keane is correct and Jack Warner is a clown. The whole situation also stinks. Why a man like this, with so much controversy associated with his reign is still allowed to continue in his positions says an awful lot about FIFA. Perhaps the concept of TERM LIMITS might just be a good idea to be introduced so that the corruption that has existed within the highest level of administration in soccer can be reduced or eliminated. Then again the head of FIFA is "Sepp (50 ideas a day, 51 bad) Blatter", which explains a lot.
