Zenit St. Petersburg beats Manchester United for the European Super Cup
In a mild surprise Zenit St. Petersburg defeated Manchester United 2-1 to claim the European Super Cup, which matches the winner of the Champions League against the winner of the UEFA Cup. Andrei Arshavin did get to play for Zenit in the second half and nearly scored soon after coming on. Its also yet another cup that Manchester United were playing for as they are entered in at least 7 competitions that I can think of with a trophy of some sort on the line. I think that while the Man U supporters would prefer to win the game that they will be able to get over this defeat pretty quickly.
