Tottenham keeps on spending

According to this latest article from the London Times, Tottenham are looking to buy Croatian international defender Vedran Corluka to add to their summer spending. If they can pull it off I think it would be a great buy as he would seems to be a quality player and would give Spurs a lot of depth in their squad. If they can manage to keep Berbatov and add a forward to replace Robbie Keane, there is no reason why they can't challenge for a place in Europe and possibly even the league title. That may sound out of their reach, but Juande Ramos has spent well since he took over at Spurs and they have a deep squad full of quality players. In addition, they won't have all of the other commitments that the other big clubs have in Europe. In my mind, they are the one club that has taken the biggest leap forward to closing the gap with the top teams and should provide some exciting moments this coming season provided that they can maintain their consistency.
