Should I Stay Or Should I Go

This indecisions bugging me
If you dont want me, set me free
Come on and let me know
Should I cool it or should I blow?
Should I stay or should I go now?

Aaaahhh the good ole Clash, you've gotta love them and never were more those words more appropriate then when looking at the many indecision regarding so many players across Europe.

Robinho
Stay at Real Madrid or go to Chelsea? It seems like everyone and their grandmother wants to play for Real Madrid these days so why would an established player like Robinho want to leave? Could it be more money? The opportunity to play for Scolari? The opportunity to play in the English Premier League for Chelsea? Its probably a little bit of all of those reasons and also maybe more of a guaranteed place in the starting XI. My gut feeling is that he goes.

Gareth Barry
Stay at Aston Villa or go to Liverpool? It seems more and more like he will be staying at Villa, but until the transfer deadline comes and goes you can't be certain. Having already been cup-tied for Europe after playing for Villa in midweek greatly reduces the chances that he will leave. My gut feeling is that he stays.

Dimitar Berbatov
Stay at Tottenham or go to Manchester United? He seems like he's been wanting to leave since the second half of last season and what better place could he land then at Manchester United. I'm sure that Juande Ramos doesn't want to sell him, but I don't think he has much of a choice. I think its just a matter of United coming up with the cash so my gut feeling is that he goes.

Xabi Alonso
Stay at Liverpool or go (probably to Juventus)? Rafa Benitez seems to kick and scream until he finally gets what he wants at Liverpool these days and if he and Alonso really don't see eye to eye then that doesn't bode well. Liverpool won't sell him cheaply though, but I could still see Juventus jumping back into the race and making an offer for him. My gut feeling is that he goes.

David Villa
Stay at Valencia or go? After his performance at Euro 2008, I can't believe that one of Europe's big clubs haven't thrown a pile of money at Valencia and signed David Villa. He's one of Europe's top forwards, no doubt, but without any big rumors that I've seen my gut feeling is that he stays at Valencia at least through the winter break and possibly for the whole season.

Klaus Jan Huntelaar
Stay at Ajax or go (Arsenal and Man U were 2 rumors)? The latest of Ajax's young prodigies seems to have settled in for another season with new coach Marco Van Basten, which again is a big surprise to me. I would have thought that someone would have gone after him as he really seems to have emerged as one of Europe's top strikers. In addition, I think he has gone as far as he can with Ajax, unless they really are looking to mount a serious campaign in Europe. My gut feeling is that he stays.

Thierry Henry
Stay at Barcelona or go to Manchester United? One season at Barcelona and he's already surplus to requirements, or so we are lead to believe. Somehow though I see Henry spending one or two more seasons at Barcelona and then back to France for him, maybe with Paris St. Germain so my gut feeling is that he stays.

Karim Benzema
Stay at Lyon or go? Olympique Lyon's top young player didn't really show much at Euro 2008, not nearly as much as he showed in the Champions League last season. I think he still has another season or two left at Lyon before he gets his big money move, probably to England or Italy. My gut feeling is that he stays.

Mario Gomez
Stay at Stuttgart or go to Bayern Munich? Another one who didn't live up to the hype going into Euro 2008, but still Bayern Munich were trying to complete their collection of German national team forwards. Stuttgart have held tight and not given in, but really what is there for Gomez to play for this season? With his value down though I think its one more season and then onward so my gut feeling is that he stays.

Andrei Arshavin
Stay at Zenit St. Petersburg or go? Zenit St. Petersburg were really looking to cash in on Arshavin and expecting a ton of Rubles, Euros, and Pounds. So far they have gotten nothing. Now supposedly they are looking to reduce the asking price and see if they can still make a deal since Arshavin is so eager to move. My gut feeling is that he goes.

Those are just some of the big names whose destinations are still somewhat unresolved. I'm sure we'll see a few more surprises before the European transfer deadline comes and goes, and it will be interesting to see who stays and who goes.
