It appears that Brian McBride
will play his first game back in MLS for the Chicago Fire this weekend and even at the advanced age of 36 he is still a welcome addition to the league. Brian has been a warrior throughout his career with the U.S National Team, for clubs in Germany and England, and also during the start of MLS. He has had a long and distinguished career, and in my opinion is easily the best American born forward that I have seen play. It is great for MLS that he still wants to play for a few more years as the fans will get to see him give one last go around before he hangs up his boots for good. Who can forget his combativeness in the last World Cup against Danielle DeRossi from Italy and how he continued to play even after taking that viscous hit. If only the U.S. had been able to pair Brian up with Eric Wynalda when they were both in their prime, we really would have had a forward line to cause other teams a lot of problems. Chicago fans go out and see the last couple of seasons of this great player while you can.
