Lassana Diarra the next leader for France

So Lassana Diarra is the next leader of France and is a favorite of Raymond Domenech, yet he couldn't get into a game for France during Euro 2008. I have a lot of respect for Lillian Thuram, he was one of the best defenders that I've seen play the game. I also rate Diarra very highly, but something doesn't quite make sense here. If Diarra was such a favorite of Domenech then why couldn't he get a game over Jérémy Toulalan during Euro 2008? I think this is just another example of why Domenech needs to go. I believe that Thuram is correct and that Diarra should have been playing at Euro 2008 along with Mathieu Flamini. However, as we all know Domenech had to stick with the old guard and give them one last chance at glory instead of doing his job and playing the best starting XI. We'll see how things go now the players like Thuram, Viera, and Makelele are either retired or on their way out of the national team setup. Once and for all its time for France to move onto the next generation and making Diarra a fixture in the team would be a good start.
