Article on Berbatov signing with Manchester United

Here's a really good article from the London Times written by former Republic of Ireland forward Tony Cascarino. I have always found Tony to have an interesting perspective and in this article, he really makes the case for Manchester United's potential signing of Dimitar Berbatov to be a great move, which I agree with. However, he also feels that they need to make this signing in order to really challenge Chelsea for the English Premier League title, which I completely disagree with. Man U have won the league 2 years in a row with basically the same team. In my opinion there are the favorites with or without Berbatov. The only moves that I think they really need to make are to sign another good defender as cover for Nemanja Vidić and Rio Ferdinand, especially after they sold Gerard Piqué back to Barcelona. Of course Tony also played for Chelsea for a couple of seasons so perhaps he's a little biased. I was also surprised to see Roy Keane tip Chelsea to be the favorites for the title (maybe this is crazy, but shouldn't be tipping Sunderland?). We'll see how things go, but to not place Manchester United as favorites, especially after they were able to keep Cristiano Ronaldo to me just isn't accurate.
